We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and motivated Sales Associate to join our flooring showroom team. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a passion for design, and the ability to help customers select the perfect flooring solutions for their needs. You will work closely with customers from initial inquiry to final sale, ensuring a smooth and positive buying experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet customers and create a welcoming showroom environment
• Assist customers in selecting flooring products, explaining features, benefits, and pricing
• Provide accurate product information, including materials, installation options, and maintenance recommendations
• Prepare and present quotes, invoices, and sales contracts
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product lines, trends, and promotions
• Coordinate with installers and warehouse staff to ensure timely delivery and installation
• Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction
• Keep showroom displays clean, organized, and well-stocked
• Achieve or exceed individual and store sales goals
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college or design background preferred
• Previous retail or sales experience (flooring, home improvement, or interior design a plus)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with a variety of customers and close sales effectively
• Basic math skills for quoting and invoicing
• Comfortable using basic computer software
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
