Toledo Ballet is seeking a passionate and dedicated Primary Dance Instructor. As part of our professional team, you will have the opportunity to teach dance classes to students of ages 3-6, choreograph routines for performances, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes continued dance education and training.

• Pay: $15-25 per hour
• Job Type: Part-time
• Weeknight afternoons & Saturdays
  
  

• Teach dance classes to students of ages 3-6
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and goals of the Toledo Ballet
• Provide guidance and feedback to students to help them improve their technique and performance
• Choreograph dance routines for annual performance/demonstration
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan and coordinate studio events and performances
• Attend and participate in periodic faculty meetings on Saturday afternoons
• Be available to meet with the Artistic Director periodically for professional feedback and event information
  
  

• Experience in teaching primary level dance, with a focus on ballet is a plus
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
• Experience working with students of ages 3-6
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including email communications
• Ability to effectively manage a studio classroom setting
• ABT lower level instruction certification is a plus but not a requirement
