WilliamsRDM is looking for a  STFS Assembly Line Supervisor to provides leadership, work direction, and supervision of workers performing assembly tasks in STFS. Plans and assigns work to ensure production, improvement, and lead times goals are met. Responsible for maintaining product quality standards, ensuring a high level of work performance by team members, and providing coaching and discipline to team members as necessary; enforces policies and work rules in a fair and consistent manner, and ensures all safety and housekeeping standards are met.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervises STFS assembly workers
  • Maintains product quality standards
  • Drive continuous improvement including lean principals
  • Maintain segment output goals in all 3 models
  • Plans and assigns work by priority
  • Meet production schedules and time lines resulting in meeting or exceeding departmental goals
  • Provides coaching and discipline to assembly employees as necessary
  • Trains employees on job functions and safety requirements
  • Manages production database
  • Communicate with purchasing for any parts constraints.
  • Communicate end of shift pass down email to other department heads highlighting the shift status
  • Maintains data logs and reports on production criteria
  • Responsible for machine setup and trouble-shooting where applicable.
  • Periodically runs machines and processes
  • Performs special projects as requested by the Operations Director
  • Must follow Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety
  • Prepare the team members for the ISO audits
  • Make sure the production line is tour ready at any time
  • Have daily start of shift meetings with the team members to set up daily goals and any other critical communication
  • Lead by example
  • Help develop Line Lead for future Supervisory roles
  • Develop a teamwork environment while promoting high morale
  • Ensure proper head count is maintained when running maximum capacity
  • Attend meetings when requested and in the absence of the Director.

Education & Training:

  • High School diploma/GED
  • College Education in related field a plus

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years related experience
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office, production software
  • Previous supervisory or Lead experience
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Must be able to pass an ATF questionnaire and background check.

  • Communicate effectively
  • Lift and manipulate objects up to 35lbs.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others department heads
  • Work courteously and tactfully with customers and employees
